    Hey guys

This is my first post, and I absolutely love these forums. I recently purchased a Pavilion ZV6000. I got the bare minimum with everything...as I knew that I would be upgrading in the future. Well, the future is here.....as 256mb's of memory is absolutely rediculous. It almost makes the notebook worthless, as every task takes so long to complete or process.

So here is my question to people who have upgraded their ram on HP pavilions. Will I have a problem putting 2 sticks to upgrade to 1 Gig...or will I have to get a 1 Gig stick? I have never opened this thing, and just wondering how easy it is to put in 2 512mb sticks.

    Thanks guys

    HP ROCKS!!!!

One of the slots is under the keyboard. Hp's manuals have info as to how to disassemble the laptop and to reach the slot but you have to decide whether you feel comfortable with it. Otherwise, 2 sticks of 1gb should work fine (200pin sodimm Pc3200).

I just upgraded the ram to 1gig. Like vassil 98 points out, one of the slots is under the keyboard. It is not difficult to to upgrade the ram. The slot under the keyboard has a silver sticker over the slot and has to be peeled of...nothing hard about that.
