    hi

I tried over the weekend to pin mode a dell D510 laptop. the laptop's original cpu is a celeron m 360 (1.4ghz and 1mb L2). I tied with this cpu and two other celerons m 360. I also tried with a pentium m 715 (1.5ghz) but I failed. The laptop starts with the cpu original clock speed.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks.

P.S. I followed the tutorial posted in the notebookreview forum.
The ram is of type ddr pc2 with an fsb of 133mhz but currently running at 100mhz.

I have a 1.4GHz celeron M 360, and have pin modded it, if you do it right you should get the speed i have which is 1.86GHz.
Though this mod only works on specific processors, have you checked yours is the right type as well as speed, eg a dothan
    use cpu-z to check

The CPUs used are all Dothans.

I tried this and the option where you place the wire between the pin 16 of the second row and the pin 16 of the third row. the size of the wire was between 5mm and 1cm.

What am I doing wrong as everyone seems to agree that Pentium M and Celeron M with a native clock speed of less than 1.7ghz are easily overclockable?
    Thanks for your replies.

P.S. all the processor have the same ID: 06D6
