hello all, i have a asus g50vt-a1 and got following questions:

    1. i want to buy a new headset. ppl recomend me the hd555 + random mic.. so i think this is what i wanna buy. But some ppl told me that with a random onboard soundcard the hd555 is senseless as the soundcard cant output such a high quality.. so a pc 161 would be enough for me if i got a crap soundcard.
So what should i do now? Does my laptop (realtek high definition audio) has a soundcard which is good enough?

    2. I got 4gb of ram right now. I read about readyboost and how good it is.. but i couldnt really get it work until now (the sd i orded doesnt rly work.. and others are to slow) so i thought about a ram upgrade. Would that make any sense? I plan to install win 7 .. so i thought about 6gb-8gb (or maybe my laptop can handle even more) ?

    thanks :)

Readyboost is worthless, dont even bother.

As for ram, the only way for you to upgrade would be to get high density ram, i.e, 4GB sticks, which are quite expensive. And unless you are consistently using all of your ram, there is no reason to upgrade it. Getting another 2-4GB of ram, can offer you potentially no performance increase if you dont need it.
