ok so im looking at memory. I understand the cas value is part of what determines a rams speed. But i dont understand how to interprit these 2 values and which would be faster/better by them selves.

    5-5-5-15

    5-5-5-18

    which is better?

i have as well...sorta. I had 2gb in my OLD desktop and just recently bought 4gb for my laptop(issues).

The new chips seem to have an issue, trying to get the warrenty worked out. Its a slightly strang problem. Both sticks work a recognize but every so often(every boot, but crash time random), i get windows blue screen for memory managment and memcheck says there is an issue. Im hopping they get replaced with good sticks
