im customizing my sager np2090...and i noticed that 2gigs 1 sodimm is 20$s cheaper than the corsair brand 2gigs 1 sodimm. $95 vs $115.
does the cosair name make any difference? (future upgrades...some people talk about wanting identical brand sticks when they upgrade..performance etc)

and is it worth having the 2gigs one one stick now? (probally gonna upgrade in like 4 years to 4gigs).
like in the future, they wont release like faster 2gig sticks with like ddr3 or something where you just want to replace all your ram lol?

Yes the cosair brand charge more, I would not buy. You said upgrading in like 4 years so I would not get 2GB 1 stick, I would get 2X1GB so I could run in dual channel (4 years is to long to plan ahead w/computer). If they do come out w/DDR3 your memory slots or MoBo likely create compatibility issues anyway.
