    what is faster for ready boost, a 512 mb SD card, or a 1gb (not ready boost certified, but works) flash drive.

    It would depend on what speed the card/flash drive was rated at. I would only use ExtremeIII or equivalent cards for Readyboost since there's word that it may actually slow you down if you use a slow card.
