Hi, I have a notebook that I want to hook up to a CRT monitor permanently from the VGA output. It's going to be a desktop from now on.

I've already managed to remove the screen and I have unplugged the appropriate connectors to it. Is there anything else I need to do or am I good to go?

smoke test it...turn it on and see if it smokes...if it does you are not done...if not then cool. I just hope you set the BIOS and/or windows to dual display or VGA port only mode before you removed the display. Or that your system will work w/o detecting the primary LCD display is connected.

    hope it works...
