    replacement power supply any good

    i have a replacement power suppy for a toshiba satellite 1110 and the voltage is the same and the ampage is more than need so this shouls be ok but when i plug in my old power supply an orange light stays on when charging but when new power supply is used it only flashes orange is this still charging and will it do the laptop any harm
