    replacing Laptop LCD Cable

    one line is appeared after fall and when i opened it the lcd cable had one pin falls ist possible to replace this one pin where i can find same like it? and if i must replace the cable how do i know its compatible? where i can buy it online for cheap?
    laptop is compal jhl 90

    Look online on eBay...if there is a part number on your cable use that to match it online.

    you're looking for something like this. you can then Google the P/N (71D82330001) to find other merchants/sellers, or eBay auctions like StormJumper suggests.

    not sure if it sounds like a cable replacement will resolve your issue though. . .

    doesn't sound cable replacement will help, it would if your each little signal wire transmitted data for a single line of display, in which case you'd have a ribbon cable wide as the lcd itself.

    much more likely the panel is damaged, but if you can get the replacement cable for cheap, i'd probably do it, purely out of hope.
