    replacing a processor

    like the thread title says, im replacing the processor on my P-6860 FX with a T9300. I need instructions.

    well....i don't have 6860, but here's general procedures.
    1.) open up the chassis
    2.) remove heat sink, should be few screws on it usually
    3.) remove cpu, there is one flat head screw on it, turn it either 90 or 1800 degrees, i don't remember
    4.) clean up the thermal paste on both cpu and heatsink with special cleaner, or 90% alcohol
    5.) reapply thermal paste on both heatsink and cpu, recommend AS5
    6.) put everything back on
    7.) secure the chassis
