I was looking for a spare laptop battery, and google found its way to that site.
They claim to have a 9 cell version of the battery I use (the largest standard one for mine is a 6), and the price is right, but I've never heard of them, nor have I been able to really find any info about them.
Have any of you heard of this company?
I wasn't sure how reliable the specs are on generics, especially if they claim 60% more mAh for a battery that doesn't show any pictures of how much larger it is physically.

Rich Battery and or PCParts Business Review in La Habra, CA
Ya richbattery.com doesn't look so legit. I always recommend for power related accessories (batteries, AC adapters) to buy manufacturer/OEM spec. It costs more $$$ but I find they last longer than 3rd party stuff. -
Thank you. -
Thanks for the posting! I was thinking about going with them, but held back because of the broken English in the very detailed description of the product (it was actually an interesting read), but wanted to check them out further. Once I hit this thread, I dismissed them and went with atbatt.com (BBB A grade) because my laptop is getting older and I won't need a battery much longer, but still wanted a new one for long term use (my current battery only lasts two minutes unplugged).

I wouldn't put too much stock in their wares; we've had to ban one or two spammers trying to promote the site.

OEM batteries are worth the money.. better off paying extra for something that you are SURE works instead of taking the risk. Especially considering that you get no insurance when buying from non-OEM suppliers

HopelesslyFaithful Notebook Virtuoso
i would buy one off ebay. those aftermarket batteries form china usually work find and are super cheap. Or you can just rebuild yours for cheap too with quality cells from batteryspace.com

Rich Battery has repulsive customer service and defective products.
I bought a MacBook Pro battery from them, and they sent it OVER 30 days late---which means their "30 day warranty" was already expired before it even arrived in the mail. I had to contact them twice asking where my battery was- they acted as if they sent it, and without hesitation said they would throw "another one in the mail". It was bizarre.
When I finally got the battery, it was scratched and looked like it had been used before. It worked for 1 week before the "service battery" came up again. I emailed them, and they said it was a "calibration issue". I humored them and went through all the steps they listed. The bottom line is, they sent me a defective battery. I just emailed them for the 6th time. They said they would replace the battery but I have to pay for shipping and I have to send them $10. I frankly feel like this is extortion- trying to get me to send them more money.
I don't know what kind of scam they are trying to pull, but the customer service is repulsive, and their business model is shady. I am going to eat the cost of the battery and take my computer in to the Apple store. I don't see the point in sending them "$10 more dollars" only to get another defective battery and be out even more money than I already am. -
Very bad, stay away from this company. Their battery lasted just a few days over the warranty period, 30 days. I asked for replacement, they claimed I had to wait 2 weeks for them to contact MFG. I contacted them again 2 weeks latter, they said MFG will do nothing, but they were willing to send me a replacement if I sent $15.00 to cover their shipping and handling cost. Do I want to invest another $15.00? No way, I will not deal with a company like this, bad products plus no service.

It was a three cell battery with rocks filling the space. -
Just purchased a 12 cell battery for my hp and it works great and the price is cheaper then I can find on eBay or Amazon
Rich battery Rocks!!!!

I bought two new batteries with an 18 month warranty from them and they both were working fine for 2 months, but then my hi cap battery stopped taking a charge an I simply cannot get any answers to my email. I'd never buy from them again. It's a total blow off. I had some ebay sellers who shipped me defective OEM batteries and I was able to get a full refund without a hassle.
The problem might be after 2 months with a paypal payment on a purchase right off their website where I can't post a review, I have no leverage. The site does nti let me post a complaint and paypal isn't even letting a case progress.
This is about as bad customer service as you can get. -
