    whats that thing you do with the battery? i hear that you're supposed to recharge it to the max and kill it, what is that called? do you guys have formal instructions? i'm trying to find a list of things to do right after getting your laptop (things to check, cleaning up disk space, etc..)

    many users like to fully charge the laptop until the battery doesn't charge anymore (charge complete), and then discharge it to the point where the computer auto-shuts itself off. I do this for two cycles to ensure the battery's chemicals are broken in as best as possible.
