    Hello,

The Vostro 1400 has a straight power connector that plugs into the left side. Does Dell or any aftermarket supplier offer a right-angle connector?

I would not recommend buying aftermarket/non-Dell-branded power adapters for your Dell notebook.

Have you looked at Dell's travel adapters? Perhaps those will be more compact.
