    I'd have to say no. If the eSATA port doesn't support the port multiplier feature, then your SATA host on your motherboard probably doesn't support it at all. This would include all SATA ports on your laptop.

    Im curious, did you try this? I'm trying to find ways to make an old laptop rather useful and this method could be used to make it into a basic file server...

    Hi I never tried. I may one day when I have more time but I honestly think the success rate would be very low so I gave up on the idea.
