Can you give us some more info? Like when it happens, what is the message that it prints out (should be near the top of the screen). When does it happen? If you go into the performance/reliability monitor, do you get any flags showing something is wrong?

How new is the version of XP that you are trying to install? It may lack some of the core drivers needed for the R55.

I would recommend that you (i) download all the latest R55 drivers from Samsung http://www.samsungpc.com/products/r55/r55_supporteddrivers.htm or here); (ii) download nLite; and (iii) use nLite to create a new XP installation CD which contains the R55 drivers. It would also be prudent to upgrade the XP to SP2 if it is older. nLite can do this as well.

Read the instructions for nLite. It will combine an old XP + SP2 + R55 drivers and create a new installation CD.

Not helpful. :( Knowing the right words to use when searching comes with practice.
