Now i am just wondering about the grphics card. It says only go 7900 with 512Mb of DDR3 ram memory. I googled and couldnt find a 7900gs review or anything with more then 256mb DDR3 ram so i suppose this one has a 7900 GTX version since i fallowed the links from http://www.nvidia.com/object/wtb_notebooks.html under series 7 and all the toshiba laptops have a minimum 7900GS with 256Mb of ddr? Or i am mistaken?

There have been some Go 7900 GS with 512 MB, but I have not seen many. Its possible that it could also be a Go 7900 GTX, however. Either way, both graphics cards are still very fast, and were the top line for nVidia before their new range of mobile graphics cards were released.

Yes, the graphics card is still very fast. It should compete consistently faster than the current 8600M GT. Perhaps you can get in conect with Toshiba and ask them which graphic card this notebook actually has?

I called the support service and checked on the details. Basically all the 256 are GS and all the 512 are GTX es enjoy.

Umm........ I would be cautious in buying a Toshiba laptop with the 7900gs, there are a lot of very unhappy people due to stuttering/hitching issues when playing games in Vista. This has been an ongoing problem and Toshiba still has not responded to the issue. It is getting to the point where people are discussing filing lawsuits becuase Toshiba describes these models as "Gaming laptops".

If you are going to go ahead with the purchase I suggest checking to make sure you can get XP drivers for the lappy and throw XP on.

here is probably the most active thread about this issue.
