Hi, I have an ASUS Z70V Refresh laptop recently a hinge came off...no big deal I simply pushed it back in but now when I lifted off up the screen to open the laptop it seems to be splitting apart at the seam that runs from the top to the bottom at the bottom right corner.

This is a side view of the bad side when I close it

Two screws came out...one was the rubber tipped screw from the front of the screen and the other is a smaller one which I don't know where it came from.

anyway has this happened to anyone else? I haven't done anything that would cause this except simply opening and closing the screen. They want to charge me 200 bucks to fix this but the computer still works so it should be just a matter of getting the screen reattached. i can remove the screen to fix this and see what really is wrong?

Looks to me like perhaps some of the plastic "catches" that hold the front and back of the LCD cover may be broken. Some of the pictures show some wear that may indicate a drop or some flexing of the screen caused the damage.
