I think the easiest thing to do is to use a micro-fiber cloth and a bit of rubbing alcohol. I've been using this method for years now without any problems. Tissue paper or paper towels also seem to work fine, but they may leave microscopic scratches and dust behind.

I do the same thing as commander wolf.
Get an address book and look up optometrist (eye doctors) places. When I go, the lady their gives me microfibre cloths for free because I have been going their for a long time for eye tests.
I am sure you can find a place and get some. They will be cheap if they charge at all.
You can also try automotive places but they will be more expensive
Fine clothing boutiques should have them too

Dollar Tree. I got a pretty big 16" x 16" microfiber cloth from there for a dollar.

I have seen the LCD cleaning clothes in Staples stores (in the US). They were really cheap...
