i am looking into this drive but there are 2 model numbers i am seeing here. i wonder if one is just the oem model and other is retail package?

they seem to advertise only 76 mb/s performance so i assume these are the slowest 750gb 7200rpm drives compared to hitatchi and WD?

RK means-Retail Kit(Retail Box) not just in anti static enclosure-oem tray models. As to speed differences Toms hardware usually has benchmark comparsions for Seagate,WD, ect.

Still in anti-static bags, just not in the retail box with all the screws, rails, and manuals.
