I was wondering if there was some online shop that specialises in re-selling notebook parts?
not like e-bay, but more like some sort of a junkyard.

in my case, I'm looking for a fujitsu siemens 3438/4438 motherboard...
    so if anyone is interested...

sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I wasnt sure if it should be here or in the buy/sell section.

If its any help, the M3438G/M4438G shared its motherboards with a number of other notebooks. Its smaller counterpart, the M1437G also used the same motherboard, I believe. If it did, it also means that the Alienware M5500 also used the same motherboard, because it and the A1437G were practically the same chassis-wise.

Also, the M3438G/4438G also had an Alienware counterpart. The Alienware M5700 used the same motherboard, and I am confident, that it will certainly work. So, it gives you a few more notebooks that you could possibly have a look at on the search for a compatible motherboard. Hope this helps.

here is a UK store that has it. http://www.servicesource.co.uk/frameset.asp?top=end_user.htm&main=http://www.servicesource.co.uk/drilldown.asp?node=1654206
I dont know about Croatia but I would try calling fujitsu croatia and they will tell you.
Are you looking for a used mainboard? I dont think getting a new one as a spare part will be cost effective since you can get a new notebook for about 600€ these days.
*edit:* sorry i just read you wrote 2nd hand. I am sorry then I dont think there are any online stores that do this.

    I already bought a HP 9420...

but I'm not giving up on my FSC.
the official service refuses to repair it on waranty... and I'm not giving those frauds another $...

and thanks for your help. I'm satisfied that people even bother to read this thread, not to mention if they actually give some advice.

anyways... I'm back on my search...

    I've identified the motherboard as

Uniwill P71EN0 motherboard, used in Fujitsu Siemens, Uniwill, Alienware notebooks.
