ok, i feel seriously stupid asking this, but my grandpa recently bought my siblings a couple of Dell desktops from an auction "80$ each" and then asked me to check them out.
now, the specs (god i cant show my face):
    Pentium4 1.8Ghz
GPU: ATI radeon 128bit "radeon 1200 i think or something else i duno"
    RAM 256Mhz
and well, everything you might expect from the year 2002.
so, my question is: what should i do with this thing?
i mean, my siblings "aged 10 and 12" arent your regular baseball-pitchin/ball throwin/everyday video gaming kids. they know the difference between Nvidia GPUs, RAMs, and intel's core2 duo/quad core processors. "since they play alot with 3ds max and UT3"

so, is there anything i can make use of this thing? plus i kinda dont wana break the old man's heart y'know.

Simple. Use them for Word Processing, and Internet Browsing. . . Those spec's on those arent to ancient. A P4, a dedicated ATi card (Albeit a really minimal one) and more then 128 MB of RAM.

Upgrade the RAM for $15 bucks and hey you can use them for a project. I mean you dont really have to worry about breaking them right? Try to do some crazy cosmetic stuff or just turn them into Linux Machines :)

or use hem as your every day system or turn them into a server to host and stream all your multimedia files.

Whatever operating system you'll be using uping the memory to 512 mega bytes or even 1gig will boost the performance of those system.

You can also use them to play arcade games.

Stick an X1950Pro in there and it'll handle UT3 fine, albeit not maxed.
