    i just bought a Viewsonic 24" LCD monitor 1920x1080 model# VX2433WM. i have basically no experience with color settings. i have fooled around with them in my nvidia control panel, but i really have no idea. any tips?

    Whats wrong with the colors to begin with?

    Most LCD settings will have preset settings. For movies, text, etc.

    The Nvidia control panel settings is just used to correct slight issues and reduce eyestrain.

    I don't think that you have a colorimeter (no normal user needs such an expensive device) so you can adjust the monitor colors manually with the help of your eyes and this site instead:
