Anyone know of any good CD/DVD slot loading burner drives? Looking to upgrade my notebook with one, and I would really like a slot loading, seems like they are harder to break. Thanks

Probably, it is very hard to find out one to match your own one because the slot load mounting front panel is different with another brand. Might be you have to custom make for unscrew and taking out some mounting kit to fit it!!

Most optical drives are the same size and use the same screws, they are very standardized. So if you find a slot loading drive there's a very good chance it will work in your notebook fine. However, most notebook manufacturers use different face plates, so it may or may not fit flush with your computer and look sleek. It should work though. The only one that I know of is the Pioneer K05, and I've heard good things about it. Doing a quick search I found it for $145, but if you look around you can probably find it cheaper.
