    sodimm ddr2 1066 --DOES it even exist?

    Notice the motherboard says DDR2-1066 support depends on a compatible CPU and the existence of said RAM modules?

    That's like my saying that my car supports nuclear fuel depending upon the development of a mini-nuclear reactor and non-radioactive rods. They can say anything that want, so long as there is a disclaimer that says otherwise.

    The RAM you're looking at on NewEgg is DDR2-800. If you try to overclock it to 1066 it probably is not going to work.

    I did notice that of course... In fact, I got a right CPU (AM2+) already and now I'm working on the second part of the disclaimer. ))


    I'm aware it's an 800. However, the chips are faster there and more overclockable I believe. I just wanted to know what is in the SPD.
