does upgrading the RAM of a Dell notebook from 2GB to 4GB after I've received the notebook void the warranty?

what's the best way of upgrading the RAM of a laptop (where do I shop for it, how much would it cost)?

Nope, it won't, Dell is quite lenient on it.

For best prices, check the Deals forum in this forum, as well, NewEgg usually has it for a pretty good price. It's about $250+ for two sticks.
