    my inspiron 9400 specifications are:
    Core Duo 2080 1,73 GHz
    1 gb ram
    80 gb 7200rpm hdd
    7900gs
and i have a few questions regarding upgrade to Core 2 Duo T7200
1- where to buy the new CPU?
2-is it worth it and im i going to see preformance boost in gaming?
3-if i want to upgrade the ram 1st,would 667 ram work with my currunt 533 CPU till i get the new CPU?
    thanks

    1 - no idea

2 - yes you will see a boost in gaming

3 - yes, 667MHz ram will work, but it's not worth the extra money as the increased latency over 533MHz ram negates much of a performance increase. What will be worth the extra money is 2GB ram which will be cheaper and easier to install and will give just as good boost if not better boost to gaming than a new cpu.

    1. Try newegg.com they have the best prices 98% of the time.

    2. If you play CPU intensive games or encode alot of video then yes, but I would upgrade the RAM first.

    3. Yes, a stick of 667mhz will be compatible with the 533mhz ram as long as it is the same type of ram.
