    i just bought sony Fz21e, on the ad it said it runs 2gb and has a max 4gb so i bought the extra 2gb ram when i ordered the laptop, now ive come to put it in, the website said 1 min job just open lid on back and plug ram in. But i cant find where it goes can some1 help plz???

    You mean you have found the two slots and can't find a third? If so that is because it only has two! Or do you mean you can't even find the RAM?

    well i unscrewed 1 of the lids on the back and its got two chips in already i think they are ram. if i only got two spaces would that mean they have put in 2 1gd chips of ram in, meaning i would need to pay out for another 2gd chip to ad to the 1 i all ready now have? or is there somewhere else to plug ram in?

    Only two slots on most notebooks so yes you would need to buy another 2GB. Are you aware if using 32bit Windows only 3GB to 3.5GB will be recognized by the OS. So 3GB not such a bad Idea 2GB +1GB.

    Right, but it depends on what you do. If running 20 different applications is your thing then yeah 3GBs would do wonders, but for the general norm 2GB is more than enough and you won't feel any difference between 2GB and 3GB.

    OP didn't tell me what he was gonna use it for, so I took worst-case-scenario into account ;D
