    my d is trying to sell me his sony vaio vgn-ax580g,which is a 17" 2ghz processor (single) and 1g ram and ATI mobility radeon x700 256mb video card.


    anyone think this will play wow on full settings? if so about how many fps?

    It will play at max resolution and most settings on medium. If you tone down the resolution, you could probably have high settings.

    Guessing WSXGA res? (1440*900) I'd say it should max it out with plenty of fps and some AA and AF.

    My old mobility radeon 9700 maxed out WoW with AA and AF at 1400*1050 and the x700 256mb is a decent bit more pwoerful than that.
