    Hi guys,

I have a problem to find out a solution for my notebook. It seems that the motherboard died, I am looking for a new one. But I can't find any place where to buy it! I found some on ebay but for VPCCW17FX.

Someone knows if vpccw17fx and vpccw14fx are the same and I can just buy this motherboard:
Sony VAIO VPC-CW VPCCW Series VPCCW17FX MBX-214 Intel Motherboard Tested | eBay

    or even

this one for corei3 processors :

The CW17 motherboard will fit in the CW17, but the CW17 motherboard only has NVIDIA GT 210m graphics instead of the GT 230m that the CW14 has.

The Core i3 motherboard mounts differently, I think, and the CPU/GPU heatsink is a bit different.

Basically if you need a motherboard and don't really mind a GPU downgrade, the CW17 motherboard should work just fine. :)
