    hi every one i have just had a Sony viao FW11E. i would like to connect it to my amplifier but dont want to use the 1/4inch jack as the quality wont be there! i am looking for a phono output (rca)
    does any one know if there are any cards that would fit in the 34 express slot on the side?

    Don't have an answer to your question but as an alternative you could consider using HDMI for sound.

    Sorry, but I thought the plugs were all the same kind of thing.. related
    If you want to buy an ExpressCard sound card, i think it will still only have the headphone type jack.
