i have an e1705 with an SB Audigy advanced MB sound card. i jave a few questions about it.

Is this a good sound card?

    What is EAX exactly?

when i run UT 2004 and turn on hardware audio without EAX my framerate goes down slightly, is this normal, or should it help framerate?

When i run UT 2004 and turn on hardware audio and EAX some treble sounds like wepon pick ups are barely audiable, is there a way to tweek it so i can hear it more.

replys to any of the questions are appritiated, thnx. :D

    1. it's not actually a card, its software
    2. the drop in framerate is because more of your hardware is being dedicated to making the sound sound good. depending on how much of a drop we're talking you can use EAX or not.
    3. you could try the EQ in the settings for the pc to up some of the mid and treble and see if that works.

    2. i have a 7800 go, so that isn't a problem! :D its just 2-5 frames
    3. i'll try that, thnx
