I was at college today, and one of my friends in my room acidentally spilled a bit of water on the keyboard, i grabbed a towel and wiped away most of it within a minute of the spill, it wasnt that much water but so far my keyboard is working ok.
There are still tiny bits of moisture i see in between the keys though, do i have to worry about anything?

i really wouldn't use it right now. you should leave it, you could short circuit parts of the keyboard, my brother done this, i spilt drink on his laptop because he left it on the floor and he wiped it up, decided it was ok to use it, all keys worked but then the next day loads of them wouldn't.

Take it apart as much as you can. Let it air dry, then re-assemble it to see if it's working. Hopefully, no damage was done. Which notebook do you have?

Unless you're willing to disconnect the keyboard and use a usb one..

EDIT: that's if that's the only place liquid got to.

Blah its fine. Keyboards on the bottom have a water proof peice of plastic and liped edges to keep the water from reaching the motherboard. Let it sit open for a night and everything should be fine. My dv7 had coke spilled in it and from my inspection lots of its ( i didnt spill it) There is corrosion on the pci-e slots inside and stains on the inside of the casing too.

take the keyboard off of the laptop, rinse it off (yes, under running water), dry, then take a hair dryer to it on low heat. let it stand for an hour, then plug it back in. should be like new.

and yes, I'm serious. and yes, it works. I did the same.

I wonder that too, just seems unncessesary!

Oh well, i've spillt water on 2 of my previous laptops and both worked okay for one day, but after a day or a week after the keyboard started to get f-ed up just because i never removed the keyboard and fully let it dry, i just kept on using it after i dryed it off with a piece of cloth. So take it apart just in case, some may be lucky that nothing happens at all, but it's not worth the risk if you can do something about it before it really gets broken.

Though a new keyboard usualy cost around $7-10, atleast that is what acer billed me for a new keyboard on my previous acer laptop. So it may not be too expensive even if the keyboard gets broken.

well, it wasnt a major spill, just a minor one, about less than 100ml of water and it was mainly on the left part of the keyboard, towards the middle, i held my laptop upside down right away after the spill so water would drain out as much as possible for like a minute or so and quickly wiped it off+made this topic after, lol. Then i let it air dry for an hour or so, before removing the keyboard and letting it dry further.

replaced the keys and has been turned off till now, lol.

Dunno how lucky i will get on this one >.<

About 100ml sounds about those spilling as i had, and that is not a minor spill. A minor is like 10mil imho :p 100ml is like a 3rd of a coke can, and that's not minor? :p

As per my sujesstion you should use a hair drier for drying your keyboard that will surely solve your problem.
