    hey guys, i got win7 x64 and a asus g50vt-a1 (dualcore 2,5ghz,4gb ram,9800M GS 512mb) and recently bought a intel postville g2 80gb.

    so my problems:

1st firefox freezes from time to time.. i read about it in the ssd thread. any fixes?

2nd: i think i only get a small performance gain with that ssd. hdtune tells me i have 193mb/s.. how ever booting takes 35seconds (10seconds faster than with sata). programs start faster ye.. but not sooo überfast as i expected them to start :(

    normal or some bug/failure?

    thanks :)

Looks normal to me. SSD drives are not magic. Write performance on them sucks.

People think SSD = super fast hard drive when in reality it only fast in seek and moderately fast reads. Everything else sucks. Write speeds suck causing poor performance, future reliably is awful....ect, ect...
