hi, i have just tried ewf (enhanced file protection) on my hard drive but it eats too much ram, in order to see if i could prolong ssd life. I just realised however that on alot of sd memory cards there is a write protect tab/switch. If i installed xp onto my sd card with the help of a couple of hacks, would the switch prevent writes to the sd card as effectively as ewf?

I think that switch on the side of the SD card, is there, so that somebody cannot alter the data on the card.
The data can only be read as a read-only file, when the switch is put into that mode.
If you need to learn more about SSD and Sd cards for operting systems, I would PM LES (he is an expert on SSD's)
