    stream from laptop to tv without vga cable?

    i was just wondering if there is any device out there that will allow me to stream to my tv from my laptop without having the vga cable plugged in.

    like youd plug the receiver into the vga part of ur tv and it would be a wireless signal. i hope you get wot im asking lol.

    edit: or is there any device that will hook upto the tv and allow me to stream the MKV file type.i know there are devices that will allow other file formats but i need one that will do mkv's

    that does look like it would work,but not so sure about it.id like a pc manufacturer to have one lol.
