Is it possible to buy a new motherboard for the studio 1737, one with the ability to handle a new ati 1gb with the model close to 4850 or w/e is good now?

Also I need help deciding what's the best processor with a reasonable price (aka not 800 dollars just for an extra 200 mhz) for either the current motherboard or if another one is available.

Thank you ppl for answering !

You can't upgrade your motherboard. Technically, the 1737 is already an "upgrade" to the original 1735 that used an older chipset. This means that in terms of graphics, you're pretty much stuck with what you've got.

The 1737 uses the Intel PM45 chipset with Socket P. This means you can use pretty much any mobile Core 2 Duo processor, right up to the T9900 (3.06GHz). What CPU do you currently have?

also is this processor overclockable? Because I'm not getting a new comp for the next 5 years at least (cheap parents) so i might as well get something that lasts... And from your predictions and expertise how much better will these P socket cores go before my motherboard wont be able to handle it? I would buy now but if I can wait for a better deal/faster processor I'm in no rush.
