I was told to post here since I'd get more results. So on my laptop (Sony Vaio Fe790P), the internal speakers sound really low even on the highest setting. I'm going to opt for external speakers but I was wondering which external speakers were good for this laptop or any laptop for that matter? What do most people use? I'm mostly looking for external speakers that are portable hopefully with good sound quality..if not, I'll settle for better sound quality on speakers that are meant for desk setup. Thanks!

I went to Circuit City and purchased the Logitech V20 Notebook Speakers for my laptop and they are really superb. If I have the laptop in the kitchen, I can have the faucet running and have people speaking in the background, and the speakers are loud enough so that I can hear everything clearly.

Logitech and Klipsch make the best pc speakers.
But I would recommend getting a real 5.1 system :-D -
I have a set of Klipsch ProMedias 2.1
I'm a bit of an audiophile, and I think very highly of them. -
Yeah Klipsch speakers are among the best. Logitech's are the loudest for bass.
