I need to use my laptop outside in order to download data loggers, etc., and I'm tired of all the washed-out and almost impossible to read displays.

Any advice? I've seen that a couple of Fujitsu's have 'outdoor' enhanced displays, but they don't say much about them.

PortableOne advertises a sunlight readable display, but from what I've seen, it isn't all that bright.

And I've seen websites that push transreflective screen add-ons, but they see pricey--$400 for some films.

    Suggestions?

    Thanks

Does no one have any opinion or advice on this kind of display?

I'm finding it very hard to get info on this--is this so rare?

    Thanks

Try to get a Matte display. They are less reflective and are better outdoors than glossy screens

Fujitsu makes outdoor displays that are actually very good. You'll see them in their tablets too. Interesting fact, these outdoor displays are the only ones actually made by Fujitsu.
