I want to get a surge protector for my laptop.

I went to a store, and they offered me 500V and 1000V surge protectors. They say the 500V one is for plugging 1 PC and the 1000V is for 2 PCs, simultaneously.

I will use it occasionally to plug 2 laptops (XPS on sig + a Studio 15)... do you think the 500V will hold both laptops ok?
