??? can anyone answer the question???

I was wondering because the fsb of the t2250 processor is only 533mhz, does that mean it can't be upgraded to merom?

It is still a Core Duo. It is just a crippled version. So if the laptop(BIOS) is capable of supporting Merom, then T2250 with 533MHz is upgradable as any Core Duo with 667MHz.

    thanks for the reply

Do the Txx50 (533mhz) series of core duos use the same chipset as the Txx00 (667mhz) series, the intel 945 chipset?

So will the CPU run at 667mhz after I upgrade a t2250 to a merom?

I want to know because my friend is deciding between the t2250 and the t2400... the price difference is $60.

Yes, as long as the chipsets supports Merom(which the i945 does), then there shouldnt be any issues with upgrading from a T2XXX Core Duo or even a Core Solo.
