The 7300 has a 4MB cache, which means more memory = more performance. The jump from 7300 to 7500 is less worth it, but having double the cache size should be significant.

Yeah, I agree with Kierkes. The 4MB cache over the 2MC cache really makes a difference. I'd say it is worth it and will last you longer.

However, if you go from the T7300 to the T7500, the difference isn't as worth it because the cache and FSB are same. You just gain 0.2 ghz.

Indeed, the 7300 seems best... *shrugs* Wish someone could post some same-config-otherwise benchies though.

Depends on usage. The extra speed and cache would only be of use for cpu intensive tasks such as compiling, encoding and serious photoshopping. For most other tasks you wouldn't notice much if any difference. Games shouldn't be affected much at all apart perhaps from Supreme Commander.

I just went with the T7100 which I think will be fine for my needs. Hopefully it won't effect gaming at all.

I think the C2D's are so powerful it won't have an effect, but here is a 155FPS Counter-Strike: Source Video Stress Test on the T7300 with the same GPU to compare to.

I'd say £58 is worth it. In some past threads people have been saying that real-life performance is almost the same, however on that occasion, the person needed to pay $300 to get the t7300.

If you it doesn't increase your budget too much then go for the t7300. Like everyone's been saying, its main advantage is it has a 4mb cache compared to the t7100's 2mb cache.
