I have a sony vaio cw and my harddrive constantly spins and makes noises no matter what I do, watching a movie or just browsing the web. How do I find out whats causing it and how can I fix it?

First you need to specify exactly what you mean by noise: Is it a hum? A whirling sound? A clicking, or some other sound? You have to very specific with these things to get an intelligent and proper response. You can't just say noise.
