    hi !

i'm searching a way to easy control my desktop computer using my laptop.

i have a mini shuttle, and it is very boring to always plug screen, keyboard, and mouse to control it !
So i look after a device which can do what VNC/Freenx/RDP software can do !
But a device that can be use without OS installed, even in the bios !

So, i thought about bluetooth keyboard, and a bluetooth mouse, and a mini 7' screen with remote hardware but all this devices is really expansive !

Then i find out the magical device : KVM2USB

    Here a review :

i'm stomached about what it can do !
i'm pretty shocked nobody speak about this on the forum !

so , what do you think about it ?
Yes it is expansive for a little device, but it's less cost than buy all the remotes devices !
I just tell again my first aim is to reduce cable, reduce stuff carrying, and discretion !
So i project to use it with a netbook to control my HTPC/ and RenderFarm (little one)

what do you think about KVM2USB ?

What is affraid me is there is ony one shop who sell it !
Even Ebay doesn't offer it !

    So i'm thinkink.....

Man, I've actually been looking for something like this in the back of my mind... I'd seriously snap it up in a heartbeat... if it didn't cost effin $400. What's up with that? I could get an Intel SSD for less...

My only other solution so far has been RDC. On a hardwired network it's pretty snappy, but you can't like play video or anything like that.
