    I have seen alot of posts regarding this blu-ray optical drive. I have been using this drive since 2007 and it plays all the blu-ray movies i put in it.

    Here is some info:

    In my case there is no official support for my UJ-220 as I bought it after market for my alienware system.

    Solutions:

    1. Firmware update is not required to make this BD-RE work with new releases- all it needs is a player software update.

    2. Dont use OEM software players- instead get the full version powerdvd ultra 8/9

    3. Update your GPU drivers- I run the mobility x1900 and had to update it via windows update
