    thinkpad t42/t43 upgrade, how far can i go ?

    hi
    is it possible to upgrade a the cpu on those models and if yes what is the highest cpu clock speed you can gest on it.
    i also would like to know what other part are upgradable beside the RAM.

    The upgradability depends on what clock speeds, voltages are supported by the motherboard. Since the t42/43 has the Pentium M(Dothan 400MHz), you can most probably upgrade to a 2.0/2.1GHz 400MHz FSB processor.

    Other than the RAM you can upgrade the hard dirve & in some cases the DVD/CD drives.

    you can upgrade the CPU of the T43 to the highest available SONOMA CPU probably 2.13ghz
