    i know this probably gets asked every 5 minutes but i need some serious help

    i have a dv4170us with the default 1 gb of ram (2 sticks of 512mb) i want to upgrade to 1.5gb

    will this stick of ram work/fit in my laptop, aslo is it better or worse than i would need
    thanks in advance

    1gb Kingston PC2-4200 notebook ram is the stick i would be buying

    It should fit. Afterall, I think the DV4000 is using pc2-4200 and I 'm also using the DV4024TX. Same series as urs.
