So I got my qosmio f45 off ebay and I wanted to share what I did when I got it because it might help someone else

When I got it I quickly found out that the internal wifi sucked, it was a n card but only got 130mbps max so I changed it out for atheros card from my google cr48(he no longer turns on and was useless anyways so why not)
I also installed my intel 320 series 40gb ssd, I need to get a mechanical drive now for the second bay for storage purposes

I have it with 3gb of ram right now and its lightning fast, and the 8600gt helps with flash content on webpage a LOT over my old laptop with the gm45 graphics

I also cleaned it out and applied new thermal paste and all that good stuff and by the way the sound on this puppy is beyond excellent ..its amazing for a laptop

That laptop model is coming close to 4 years old. Glad to hear your enjoying it and was able to upgrade a few components.

Good luck and keep us updated with results.
