Ok so im thinking about purchasing this lap top... one has 320GB 7200 rpm
and the other has 320 5400 rpm.... is this a substantial difference? what is rpm do?
and another question of the arctic silver compound... what does that do.. and is it worthwhile to spend the extra cash on buying it?

RPM (rotations per minute) is the speed of the Hard Drive. 7200 will make your laptop faster, especially at boot and shutdown and when launching applications. Also load times of games etc are better.

Only if the company is going to apply it for you or if you are comfortable in disassembling your computer.

artic silver is a paste that goes between your cpu and gpu (graphics card) it helps keep it cooler by transfering heat better then the manufactorers stuff. you have to take apart your laptop to put it on. most computers do not need it unless you buy a gaming computer
