    turion x62 tl-52 to upgrade

    i hardly ever get asked to upgrade these things, but someone has come in who wants to..

    how high can i go with this he is looking at maybe the tl-64 or even tl-66 i know i cant go to the s1g2 socket but whats the fastest in this socket for the tl-52?

    laptop is a hp dv-2000 also..

    The TL 68 should be the fastest for that socket S1g1. As far as the dv2000 bios is concerned, I dont think there should be any issues considering HP sold the systems with both the 90nm and 65nm versions. There are also two versions of the 65nm cpu's. So keep an eye out on those, the newer ones might not be recognized by the bios but the 90nm versions and older 65nm versions should have no problems with the dv2000z as long as you update the bios to the latest version before upgrading.
