    I am about to buy an Inspiron e1705 and I was interested in getting the tv tuner; however, I do not have the $ right now and I was wondering if it was okay to add this part later after I have received the computer.

    Yes, that's fine. It is just a usb tuner so all you have to do is plug it in, and install the software. You do not have to buy it from dell. Check prices at local electronic shops first.

    I'm in the same boat, but am looking to purchase one now for my E1705. Any recommendations for an external usb 2.0 tv tuner. I travel for work alot so my laptop is my entertainment unit.. thanks.
